Francis Lovel & Co Ltd was established by Francis Lovel in 2004 having spent most of his working life in the gun trade. The business is renowned for providing expert advice on guns of all makes and types, but has an excellent reputation for old English guns and muzzle loading guns.

Francis has an unrivalled wealth of knowledge of the gun trade having worked in a number of different gun shops and is renowned for his expert knowledge on Best English guns, gun procurement and gun valuations. Francis is a keen game shot having shot all of his life and has a particular penchant for black powder game days.

Working alongside Francis is Matt Hunt a very experienced shot who was the gunroom manager at E.J.Churchill Shooting Ground before joining the team. As a trained shooting instructor he is an expert on gun fit and repairs and again has a wide knowledge of Best English guns. Matt, like Francis, loves his game shooting as well as deer stalking.

If you are looking for a new or used gun or need more cartridges or a new shooting jacket we will be very pleased to assist. Charlie is the newest member of the Francis Lovel team and comes from a farming background in Oxfordshire. He has shot, fished and hunted all his life in the UK and worldwide and he now heads up the Sporting side of the business. Charlie worked with peter smith an antique arms dealer for two years prior to joining the team.
